Today is going to be a fun one! Weekday dates are the best. No rush, no crowds, no lag, just good, clean fun!

I have been promising to take my Twin JJ (I know I didn’t need to tell you that we’re twins, it’s so obvious) out on a date for aaaages, but time zones are the thieves of joy, and it was hard to plan something when we were both around. Today, however, was the day!

We started off at Starlight Roller Disco because JJ is a skating queen! This became pretty obvious as soon as we started skating because she was showing off all her moves and looking fantastic, and I was… well… not.

The roller rink is so fun. I was shocked we were the only ones there because it’s so well done. The music is fantastic, the skating is pure fun, and there are games and food and snacks, and it’s honestly just a really fantastic place to hang out and have fun. You don’t need skates, you can pick some up here, but you can also wear your own if you have an awesome pair you want to show off.

Because we like to live our SLives on the edge, we decided to snack and skate. I’m not sure a fruit cup was the most sensible option I could have chosen, though.

JJ was much more practical with a cake pop, despite the dangers of impaling herself if she slipped. I decided to follow her example and switch to a slushy and some candy floss. Who needs teeth in SL, am I right??

Once we were thoroughly hyped up on sugar, we moved to the booths for some real food. And by real food, I mean burgers. Possibly a little too late because, as JJ put it:

[13:46] J.J. Slay: When the slushies and cotton candy hit, you turn into a wiggly toddler.

When we were finished, we headed into the bathroom to change for our next location. Now, I know what you’re thinking. “Magenta, did you really need to take a picture of the bathroom?” and the answer is yes. Yes, I did. LOOK AT IT! It was like walking into an actual disco ball, and I am here for it!

As we were all full of sugar and feeling good about ourselves, we headed off to Summer Dream by Cica Ghost next. This is the first Cica Ghost installation I have visited, and holy moly, this was amazing! I could not stop smiling the whole time we were there.

I highly recommend following the instructions and using the shared windlight, and please turn the music on. You won’t regret it!

The colours, the care, the details, everything was perfect, whimsical nonsense, and I adored it!

We mostly wandered around exploring and discovering all the incredible creativity that’s gone into building this.

We did find a little spot to sit and enjoy the view, and then we joined a bear for some fishing. He looked a little shifty, though, so we didn’t hang out with him too long.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable, silly, playful date, and I had such a good time! It was just a really light-hearted way to spend some time with someone and get to know them better, or just hang out with someone you’ve known for years and have some happy, frivolous fun together.
