The Lost World

Lost in a world of beauty.

Sunlight tumbles through the willow branches like spilled honey, slipping between dangling green ribbons and scattering gold across the drowsy stream below. The water hums softly as it curls around smooth stones and a sleepy fallen log, carrying lily pads and drifting petals as if they are tiny boats on an unhurried adventure. Pink blossoms lean in from every side, their petals blushing in the light, as though spring itself has decided to linger here a little longer than planned.

The cottage rests among the blooms like a storybook secret, its pale walls wrapped in lavender shadows and rosy reflections. It feels less built than grown, rooted gently into the meadow, embraced by grasses and wildflowers that nod politely in the breeze. The windows glimmer with hints of sky and tree, as if they are quietly collecting dreams from the landscape. One can almost imagine a kettle singing inside or the soft creak of a wooden floor greeting a familiar step.

And beyond what the eye can gather, the world seems to tilt toward enchantment. The stream curves out of sight, surely slipping into hidden groves where fireflies practice their evening lantern dance and foxes move like rust-colored whispers through fern and shadow. Perhaps there is a secret glade just over the rise, or a bridge woven from ivy and time, waiting for curious wanderers. This is the kind of place where paths do not simply lead somewhere; they invite you to follow, promising that just a little farther on, something quietly magical is unfolding.
