Interview With A Horror Addict

As long as I can remember, The Horror Movies and Mystereies intrigued me. It started early.

The Scooby Doo Gang with their Mystery Machine, had me guessing who done it. It was almost always the owner of said haunted house or an angry ex employee. So when it comes to Spooky Season on the grid, I look forward to the haunted sims and especially places like Horror Asylum. I had the opportunity to run into the Owner, so I asked if he would be willing to partake in an impromptu interview, which he obliged.

He walked me through a few cob webbed drentched rooms with dark shadows and we sat in the Kitchen where Mama hit me with her cleaver for the entire interview but I survived.

Tyr is from Brazil and stated they dont often get many horror movies to induldge in which compelled me to ask my first question.

Q: What was your inspiration for creating Horror Asylum?

A: I watched the American Horror Story series called Asylum. I was fascinated. But the biggest reason was to distract myself and bring something cool to people!

Q: What’s your favorite part of your creation?

A: I really like the cemetery, and the pub

Q: Do you have a favorite Horror Movie?

A: My favorite Brazilian franchise is Inovcation of Evil …. but in particular that I have a love for is the movie “The Others” and I also enjoy the classics such as , Bela Lugosi and Vincent Price movies.

It was then Tyr told me about his Horror Asylum Party, Which was held on Oct 3rd and it was impressive with 4 DJs spinning and everyone arriving in their best Costumes! I had so much fun seeing everyone enjoy the Horror Asylum & the Cemetary Party! It was a full on gore fest!

Even though the Halloween party has ended, The Horror Asylum refuses to rest — and neither will you once you step inside. The halls still drip with dread, the floors slick with something unholy, and every room hides a new brand of madness. Handsy ghosts reach from cracked walls, and deranged scientists hover close, eager to craft a new monster out of you — if you’re willing to donate a few spare parts.

Venture deeper to find Tyr’s twisted masterpiece, a descent into chaos that leads straight to the pub. But beware — there’s no safety in spirits here. You might need to dodge a bomb or two, or maybe even hop onto a pole to survive. (Seriously… can someone make that zombie pole dancer happen already?)

Should you be lucky enough to crawl outside, don’t celebrate just yet. Aliens hover above, itching to beam you up for some “experimental fun,” and the nearby cemetery offers no comfort — only the grasping hands of the undead eager to drag you under. Watch your step, because the very ground seems hungry for souls.

Every inch of this place screams Tyr’s obsession with horror, each detail lovingly designed to twist your nerves and toy with your sanity. Whatever you do… don’t touch the button on the box.

You’ve been warned. 🧟‍♀️💀👽

Thank you Tyr for your hospitality and giving us an Awesome Horror Asylum to run scared in! I look forward to it next year!

You can visit the Horror Asylum Before Halloween is over!
