SUMMER, it seems, had no intention of leaving quietly.
The last day arrived wrapped in rain and a veil of blue-grey fog, turning the streets soft around the edges and sending everyone else hurrying for cover. But there was something almost irresistible about it—the kind of weather that makes the world feel a little more mysterious, a little more romantic. And really, if summer insists on making such a dramatic exit, the least a girl can do is dress for the occasion.
PRETTY IN PINK — Whatever the Weather
Enter the raincoat. Glossy, unapologetically pink, and fitted in all the right places, it turns practical into anything but predictable. Cinched at the waist and paired with a playful polka-dot umbrella, it brings a burst of color to an otherwise misty day. A black scarf catches the breeze, adding just enough contrast—and apparently giving the wind something to play with.
CAUGHT BETWEEN SEASONS
There are a few raindrops, a little fog, and perhaps a leaf or two determined to come along for the ride. But that’s the charm of the last day of summer. It’s caught somewhere between seasons: still bright enough to wear pink, cool enough to reach for a scarf, and unpredictable enough to keep an umbrella close.

Summer may be slipping away, but there’s no reason to let it leave without a little color, a little drama, and one last fabulous walk in the rain.

CHANTILLY’S NOTES
I discovered this rain outfit quite by accident and immediately knew I wanted to do a post with it. The color, the end-of-summer timing, that first hint of cool air—it was practically screaming at me! What I love most is the beautifully snug fit at the waist and just enough cleavage to accentuate your shape without taking away from the sophistication of the coat.
I paired it with a black scarf and matching umbrella, then found the perfect backdrops to bring the whole rainy-day look together. The jacket creator had recommended a bag and umbrella from another designer, but after several attempts to track them down with no luck, I decided to improvise. And, well… when you can’t find the perfect umbrella, you make your own. ☔🩷
