Venue: Celebration Square
It was a true treat to catch Maximillion Kleene performing live at Celebration Square and Stardust Coffee House this week. For those who have spent time in the Second Life live music scene, Max needs little introduction. He’s been a beloved staple of the grid for nearly as long as the platform itself has been around, and his enduring presence speaks volumes. A few years back, the Second Life Live Music Awards even honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award—a testament to his incredible contribution to music and entertainment in-world.
The Stardust Coffee House itself is an experience all on its own. Styled with the familiar warmth of a modern café, it has all the cozy atmosphere you’d expect from a Starbucks or your favorite neighborhood coffee shop. Guests could grab a stool or settle into a chair, making it feel like a true gathering place. Nearly 30 attendees packed the venue for Max’s performance, enjoying a setlist that flowed from Billy Joel classics to the timeless sounds of Creedence Clearwater Revival. His voice, as always, had the crowd swaying and singing along.
Part of what makes Stardust so inviting is the dedication of its owners. I had the pleasure of speaking with Maeve Delicious Bacon Kilara, one of the driving forces behind the venue and sim. It’s immediately clear that she and her partners pour their heart and creativity into this project, ensuring that every detail feels authentic and welcoming. Their passion has resulted in a space that not only celebrates live music but also invites visitors to linger and explore.
