SOLAR WINDS [TELEPORT]
After 18 incredible years lighting up the Second Life music scene, Solar Winds will take its final bow tomorrow, October 23rd. Founded by LaLuce Wind, this iconic venue has been a shining beacon for live music lovers across the grid. What once began as a vision among the stars became a place where memories, laughter, and friendship filled the vast expanse of a galaxy-themed dance floor.
With its breathtaking open nebula skies, rotating planets, and cosmic stage, Solar Winds wasn’t just a venue — it was an experience. Chillee (chillee.hernandoz) masterful decorations brought the cosmos to life, creating an immersive space where every beat felt like it echoed through the stars. Behind the scenes, Chayla (chayla.noel)’s handled events and bookings with the kind of dedication that only a true lover of live music can provide. And, of course, the voice and charm of Aurora Sinatra, one of Solar Winds’ beloved hosts, kept audiences feeling welcome and connected right up to the very end.

I learned about the closing when Maximillion Kleene announced his final performance at the venue. Determined not to miss it, I logged in early — only to find the sim quickly packed to capacity with over 70 avatars. It was more than a concert; it was a farewell gathering of old friends and fans paying tribute to a place that had given them so much joy. Every note, every emote, every clap felt like a shared heartbeat — one last rhythm before the music fades.
Following Max’s heartfelt show was Frets NirVina, another incredible performer who graced the Solar Winds stage for one of its final nights. Tomorrow’s closing lineup will feature Noma at 6 PM, Chillee Hernandoz at 7 PM, and Essence Bilasimo at 8 PM — all hosted by the ever-graceful Aurora Sinatra.

In a virtual world where clubs and venues come and go in the blink of an eye, eighteen years is nothing short of extraordinary. Solar Wind was more than pixels and prims — it was a home, a community, and a legacy. As its galaxies dim and its final song plays, it leaves behind a constellation of memories that will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who danced beneath its stars.
Farewell, Solar Wind. You’ll always be part of our Second Life sky.
