GENERATION XYZ: RETRO JAMS TO GUTTER BALLS

https://genxyzsl.carrd.co

“What do you wanna do today?”   “I don’t know.  What do YOU wanna do?”  “I don’t know – you decide”, “No YOU decide. I don’t know what to do”.  Sound familiar?  Look no further!! I’ll decide for you and good news also – it’s all free.  Even better!   Enter Generation XYZ – the brainchild of Leo and Rayni Prospero, husband and wife in both real life and Second Life.

It started out as a nightclub back in May of 2021, but quickly grew into an entire town with a number of options to entertain visitors who stopped in.   I asked Leo what motivated them to build such an interactive destination.  “Basically Generation XYZ is designed after the stuff we love and a lot from our first dates.  It’s about bringing people together not just around music, but experiences and fun.  All the builds we do are just more of our creative outlet” he replied.    AND creative it IS!   There are teleport boards all over the sim which make it easy to pick which activity you are interested in and go right to it.   So let’s go!

GENERATION XYZ 80’S & 90’S CLUB

First stop is the club, Gen XYZ 80’s & 90’s Club.   It’s a hoppin’ spot and they give their DJ’s a lot of freedom to choose the genre of music they want to play so check out their Primfeed page (https://www.primfeed.com/leoprosperoresident) for the schedule and themes coming up.  They love to have sets where the patrons are encouraged to dress up according to the theme.  One look at their Primfeed page will tell you just how ambitious they are.   The club is vibrant, friendly, and a great place to meet others. The energy is high octane and as you’ll see, Leo and Rayni go out of their way to make the club a success by keeping it fresh with new ideas.

PROSPEROUS PINS BOWLING ALLEY

The bowling alley has four lanes with the capability of four people per lane.      Just follow the easy instructions on the board and you’re ready to play.    I’m sounding an alert right now.   It’s addictive! Once you hear those pins tumble down it will be music to your ears.    This would be an ideal spot to get a few friends and plan a weekly bowling league.   More importantly, it’s really all about the laughter and fun you’re having.    Nothing says connecting with people more than laughter.  Trust me…you’ll be back.

MINI GOLFMANIA

Another game you’ll find yourself trying to master soon after grabbing a putter club.   Each hole has different obstacles to putt around before dropping into the hole.  A couple attempts will quickly teach you how to aim the club and how much force to give it depending on the shot.  This area also changes with the seasons!

BUMPER CARS

Hop in a bumper car and get ready to step on the gas (arrow keys), while driving full speed into other people’s cars.   There are 8 cars in the arena so again, a great place to bring a group.  There is something very cathartic about just letting loose and acting like a child again.

GO-KARTS

Touch the rezzer for the kart of your choice and if interested in really looking the part, touch the rotating coin and a folder with Mario character heads will be delivered to you.  The heads alone are worth hitting up the go-kart track!   Prefer to look like Luigi or how about the donkey in Donkey Kong??  You get my point!   Line up, engines running, hit ‘go’ on the sign banner, pedal to the metal, as I shout ‘EAT MY DUST’ to my fellow racers!   Continue around the track until the banner changes to “Finish Line”.   Be the first one through and get ready to run another race because your friends INSIST on it.

ARCADE

Stop into the arcade where you’ll find a variety of games to play, some of which I’ve never seen anywhere else.   For the music lover, “Sound Quiz” can seat 8 people and is a trivia game where you pick the category of music, it plays a brief line or two of a song and then asks you a question about it.   Flaunt your knowledge!

For the detective in you, “Clued Up” is a take-off of the board game Clue, seats 6 at the table, and Governor Linden has been found dead.   Solve the mystery using the clues you receive.

There are numerous other games, they are all free to play and after an exhausting evening of bowling with your friends, walk next door into the arcade, and organize a friendly game.

GARDEN OF EATIN’

Walk on over to the outdoor eatery where you can almost smell the burgers frying on the grill or maybe a hot dog from Leo’s Greasy Wiener?   No???  How about an ice cream cone from the food truck?   There’s even a vending machine which serves up fine wine!    After indulging, it’s time to exercise off the calories, so onto the roller skating rink which is located inside the club.

ROLLER SKATING

No need to go out and buy skates.   On the wall behind the counter is a skate giver, female, male and unisex.  There are poseballs on the rink for singles and couples which do all the work for you.

SURFING

Head on over to the beach area where you’ll find surfboard rezzers sitting near the water. Touch the rezzer and the surfboard will appear in the water. Sit on it and with your keyboard arrows move into the large waves. You will become a master surfer riding the wave until it breaks. Still on the surfboard, you can turn around and paddle back into the wave and ride it again. Great fun!

AMUSEMENT PARK

All you amusement park ride lovers! There are a variety of rides to choose from ranging from ‘easy does it’ to ‘oh my….make it stop i’m getting dizzy’! There’s something for everyone.

MOVIE THEATER

Check on their Primfeed page (https://www.primfeed.com/leoprosperoresident) for an upcoming movie night in the theater.

Destination Generation XYZ! As you can see this is a MUST to visit and enjoy a variety of activities available to you. If you love being where the action is there are 14 beach houses for rent. Enjoy everything Generation XYZ offers you! A big thank you to Leo and Rayni Prospero for giving us such a super place to spend time, laugh and make memories.
