I don’t care who you are or where you come from—there’s just something about a great country bar that gets under your skin in the best way possible. Boonies is exactly that kind of place. The moment you walk in, it feels like you’ve stumbled into a legendary Tennessee hangout, the kind of spot where the floors have stories, the music hits just right, and everyone feels like a regular, even on their first visit.

From the first note to last call, Boonies delivers an atmosphere that’s warm, welcoming, and downright authentic. It’s not trying to be flashy or over-produced. Instead, it leans into what makes a country bar great: good music, good people, and a sense that you belong there.
I’ve been to Boonies a few times now, and every visit has been a great time. The music is consistently top-notch, the DJs know their craft, and the hosts keep everything running smoothly so guests can focus on what they came for—dancing, socializing, and soaking up the vibe. On this particular night, a few friends of mine arrived early, determined to snag a prime spot on the dance floor before it filled up for a set featuring Shaye. That alone tells you something about the reputation Boonies has built: people plan ahead because they know it’s going to be worth it.

The soundtrack for the evening was handled by DJ Stranger (ultrastranger), who delivered a stellar mix of country tracks that kept the energy high and the dance floor busy. Backing him up was host DAL (Dalarna Luckstone), who had everything else covered with effortless charm and professionalism. Together, they created one of those nights where the music flows, the crowd clicks, and hours pass without you noticing.

What really sets Boonies apart is its range. One night you might catch live singers bringing raw talent and emotion straight to the stage. Another night, it’s Boonies’ DJs spinning some of the hottest country tracks around. And it doesn’t stop there—Boonies proudly calls itself home to Country Music, Blues, Classic Rock, live performances, and special events that keep the calendar fresh and the crowd coming back.
This isn’t just “another club” in Second Life. Boonies feels like a home base for music lovers. Even better, their VIPs are actual people—not bots. What a concept. It’s a small detail that speaks volumes about the community-first mindset here. Add to that the fact that Boonies is open seven days a week starting at 6 a.m., and it’s easy to see why it’s become a go-to spot for so many residents. Just one requirement: your avatar must be at least 30 days old—because Boonies is about real connections and real community.

Behind it all is owner Whiskey Daniels (tnwhiskey), who brings his own unmistakable personality and pride to the venue. Straight from the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee (Go Vols!), Whiskey is a proud Appalachian American with a sense of humor as strong as his love for music. He describes himself as shy, bashful, and purely angelic—though he also lists “Town Drunkard” and “Jack Daniels Historian” among his credentials, so take that as you will. As a Country, Blues, and Classic Rock DJ, Whiskey’s passion shines through in every detail of Boonies. He also invites guests to join his DJ group, the Whiskey Outlaws, and offers one simple request: “Please no crazy heffers…I drink enough as it is.”
If you’re looking for a place in Second Life where the music is solid, the people are genuine, and the atmosphere feels like a slice of Tennessee hospitality, Boonies should be at the top of your list. Y’all really should come see it for yourselves.
