For my first post, I decided to take my friend Biscuit out on a date. We have been trying to spend time together in SL for aaaaaages, but one of us always seems to be busy when the other is free (always the way, huh?). This time though, I pinned her down (not literally, that’s a whole different blog post) and forced her to hang out with me. And what else would two ladies do on their friend date but play Pop Golf?
This game is part of a whole park full of games, so I absolutely recommend coming to visit. I’m sure there will be more of the games featured here at some point, to be honest. It’s a lot of fun and, if you’re looking for somewhere that isn’t too serious where you can chat, have fun, and get to know someone, I think it’s a great date idea.

They also have this cute walker for couples which I thought was adorable!

It’s really simple to play. You pick a bay on either the middle or bottom level and then pay L$250. Only one person needs to pay, and you get the bay for two hours. You can also invite up to five guests to come and play with you. I think that’s really reasonable for two hours.

You can order food in each bay, which I love. We went for the Crew Food, which is basically everything they offer. All the food and drinks are clickable for snacking during breaks between turns, which makes me happy because I really hate food you can’t actually eat! This was an extra L$250, but it’s completely optional unless you enjoy roleplaying your snacks like I do!
It took a while for us to get the hang of the aiming and swinging but, pro tip, if you don’t want to follow their instructions and use the letter keys to aim, you can just use your arrow keys instead.

You can play as many games as you like during the two hours you’ve paid for, so in the middle of our first game, when we accidentally took too long to snack and the game timed out, we decided to call that our practice round and started again!

Biscuit was obviously sitting on some raw talent because she came out fighting and scored about a million points on her first go! I refused to take a beating, so I decided the 15-pointer was the one to aim for. Unfortunately, I was not quite as naturally talented.

We managed two full games in our time (two and a half, I suppose, if you count our “practice round”) and I think that was the perfect amount. We both won a game, and Biscuit took her victory with dignity and grace…

I think the reason I didn’t win both games may have been because I refused to stop eating sushi during my turn, but really, who can say?

Overall, I really enjoyed this date! It was fun, it was silly, it was a good length, and it left us with plenty of time to chat between turns without putting loads of pressure on either of us to keep the conversation going.
And just so this isn’t all about me patting myself on the back for planning an awesome date (it totally was), I asked Biscuit to provide her own completely unbiased feedback!
Friend Date Report Card
Rate each from 1 ⭐ to 5 ⭐
- ❤️ Overall Enjoyment: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best SL date ever!
- 😂 Fun Factor: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Only 4 because I never got the 15 points. Admittedly that’s on my lack of skills though
- 💬 Conversation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It was really nice to have a proper chat with you rather than sorta sporadic plurk interactions
- 📍 Venue Choice: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing find! Very fun!
- 🔄 Would You Go Again? ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100%
- Bonus Question – Best part of the date: Probably the conversation and the goofy sitting poses. Also eating sushi and golfing at the same time was hilarious!
- Would you let me plan another friend date? ☑ Absolutely! ☐ Maybe ☐ You’re banned from planning forever.
I’m always looking for dates so if you feel like being wined and dined and having an awesome time, let me know!
