In Second Life, some evenings simply come together perfectly. After spending much of the day exploring the grid and listening to some of the platform’s talented live performers, I found myself looking for one last show to round out the night. As luck would have it, Satin & Erin68 were about to take the stage at Seaside Lounge, and it turned out to be the perfect finale.
A Venue Unlike Any Other
Before the music even begins, Seaside Lounge offers visitors an experience that is uniquely its own. Established in 2011 and owned by Seattle LeShelle, the venue has long been a destination for live music lovers across the grid.
From the moment you arrive, you realize this is no ordinary club. Guests are greeted with a scenic landing area that leads to one of the venue’s most entertaining features — a zipline ride down to the waterfront stage. It’s always good for a laugh as you glide down toward the venue, watching the ocean come into view below.
Of course, Seaside Lounge has one more surprise waiting.
The dance floor sits above thin sheets of glass with sharks swimming beneath your feet. If the thought of that makes you nervous, you might hesitate for a moment. Described as “A Mystical and Magical place by the sea,” Seaside Lounge delivers a relaxed coastal atmosphere where guests can enjoy live music, dancing, and community while the waves roll nearby.
The Duo That Brings the Crowd Together
By the time the show was getting underway, a great crowd had gathered around the stage to hear one of the grid’s most beloved live duos — Satin & Erin68.
What makes this pair special isn’t just their talent, but their story. They are a real-life husband and wife singing team, performing together both in real life and in Second Life. Their chemistry on stage is genuine, effortless, and something you immediately feel as the music begins.
Erin68 Frog has had music in her life for as long as she can remember.
“Music has always been a huge part of my life,” she explains. “I studied music, played various instruments, and performed in RL.”
In Second Life she performs using professionally produced or custom backing tracks, allowing her to deliver polished live vocals without needing to squeeze an entire band into her living room.
Performing beside her is Satin, her real-life partner and, as Erin proudly describes him, “the most amazing vocalist.” Together they create one of the few true live duos performing regularly across the grid.
Their set lists are impressively broad, spanning country, pop, and everything in between, which keeps audiences engaged from the first song to the final encore.
The Whiskey Girls
Every great show has a team behind it, and Satin & Erin68 are quick to credit theirs.
Their performances are supported by the energetic and always entertaining Whiskey Girls, a group of dancers and hosts who help bring the party atmosphere to every show.
