When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low but the debts are high,
When you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is strange with it’s twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns,
And many a failure comes about,
When you might have won had you stuck it out,
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow-
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out-
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell just how close you are,
It may be near when it seems so far,
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit-
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

Maeve Kilara is a Second Life author and fashion publisher, a retired model and jewelry designer with a lifelong passion for the arts, fashion, and all things creative. She writes for SLInsider while also serving as co-owner and designer behind her signature brand, Magic Moments, where creativity and style take center stage. When she’s not immersed in her creative pursuits, Maeve can be found refining her photography skills, shopping for glitter, and occasionally tripping over things that don’t exist.
