Groovy Girl Café
A Swirl of Color, Sisterhood, and Pure Musical Glow

There are venues in Second Life that entertain you, and then there are venues that wrap you in color, charm, and sparkle before the first note even plays. Groovy Girl Café is very much the second type of place. It is a warm, dreamy, boho rainbow where music and art melt together in the sweetest way.
The moment I teleported in, the colors hit first. The walls shimmered with psychedelic swirls and painted flowers. Guitars, glowing in neon pastels, hung like ornaments. Giant canvases of bold, feminine faces lit up the room like muses watching over the night. Floor pillows, low couches, hanging beads, retro lamps, and even a bright little van created an atmosphere that felt like an artistic sleepover in a loft built by one of the grid’s most creative women and her partner
A Night of Women Who Shine
Grace Loudon was not performing that night, but she was still very much the radiant heartbeat of the venue. She stood among the crowd with that gentle, lovable presence she is known for, greeting people with warmth, laughing with friends, and making sure everyone felt included. Seeing her there, simply being herself, made the room glow a little brighter. You could feel how adored she is by everyone around her, and honestly, I felt my own heart do a tiny happy wiggle each time she smiled in my direction.
The evening opened with the lovely Coralie, whose voice carried that heartbreaking sweetness only she can deliver. She sang like a woman with stories tucked under her ribs. Every line felt tender and real. I swear the swirling walls glowed a little warmer when she sang.
And through it all, the beautiful and sweet Adrianna hosted with such grace and joy that you could not help but love her. She moved through the chat greeting everyone, keeping the atmosphere soft, feminine, and welcoming. She felt like the heartbeat of the night, glowing in that warm colorful light while making sure every guest and performer felt supported.
Groovy Girl Café is truly a women centered space. You can feel it in the music, in the art, and in the way people treat each other.
After the Show: A Cozy Interview With Grace and Ray
When the crowd began to settle and the light softened, I sat down with the incomparable Grace Loudon and her partner Ray Dash for a little after show chat. Even though she did not sing that night, talking with her inside her own venue felt incredibly special.
The Inspiration Behind Groovy Girl Café
Grace shared,
“Groovy Girl was built by my partner, Ray Dash, who wanted to make a special place for me to play because that is the kind of sweetheart he is. I thought, why not make a place that highlights the groovy girls of Second Life.”
Ray added with the gentlest smile,
“Grace is not just music. She is color, kindness, and comfort. Groovy Girl was meant to be a cozy, funky space where people can curl up and drink in art and music.”
And honestly, that is exactly what this venue feels like.
A Home Where Women Own the Stage
Ray explained the heart of the venue,
“We wanted a place where the joy and power female artists share could be celebrated.”
Grace continued,
“There are many performers in SL. I wanted something that gave women a chance to shine whether they play instruments or use tracks. What matters is heart, kindness, and professionalism.”
It felt so clear that this space is dedicated to celebrating every version of female creativity.
Curating the Groove
Grace laughed softly when I asked about choosing performers.
“Ray selects me, I select the rest.”
Then she added,
“We reach out to women who love what they do. New or experienced, it all works. Adrianna handles the bookings now and she has been indispensable.”
And truly, Adrianna’s presence as host confirmed her importance. She brought warmth and sparkle to every moment.
Challenges and Growth
Grace admitted,
“There are rarely major challenges. Mostly no shows. Real life happens, but communication matters. Be professional. Be accountable.”
Her honesty felt refreshing and fair.
The Future of Groovy Girl Café
Grace said with that sweet calm she is known for,
“There is no need to change it. It is inviting, comfortable, and we are enjoying it.”
Ray added that it began as a tribute to Grace’s creativity and continues as a home for women who shine.
A Place You Feel, Not Just Visit
Groovy Girl Café is more than a music venue. It is a feminine sanctuary filled with color, expression, playfulness, and warmth. Every cushion, every neon guitar, every swirl of paint on the ceiling feels intentional. It is a place where women stand tall, voices rise, art glows, and the community is wrapped in music like a satin ribbon.
Whether you come for the performers, the vibe, or just the soft companionship of a friendly crowd, this is one of those rare SL venues that touches your heart in a pretty way.
If you want to experience it yourself, Groovy Girl Café is open bi weekly on Monday evenings at 5 and 6 pm slt. The performers are always women, but everyone is welcome to enjoy the show.
A Final Note From My Heart
As I left the café that night, I glanced back one last time and saw Grace standing near the glowing artwork, talking with guests and smiling in that warm, gentle way she always does. She was not on the stage, yet she still felt like the center of the universe. Some people shine by performing. Grace shines simply by existing. Her kindness fills the room like music, and every person who steps into Groovy Girl Café feels it.
That is the magic of this venue.
It is not just the color or the art or the music.
It is the woman whose heart inspired it.
And I cannot wait to come back!
