Four Years of Fun: Roll ‘R’ Way Continues to Keep the Good Times Rolling
Roll ‘R’ Way Venue [TELEPORT]
Four years ago, what started as a simple idea inspired by childhood memories has grown into one of Second Life’s favorite entertainment destinations.
While many people associate Roll ‘R’ Way with General Manager Chloe Tequila LiveWire, she is quick to give credit where it’s due. “I’m actually the General Manager,” Chloe explains. “My husband, James LiveWire, is the owner. Roll ‘R’ Way was originally started by Tara Luvs in July 2022.”
Inspired by the joy of visiting roller skating rinks as a child, Tara wanted to recreate that same carefree feeling in Second Life. When real life demanded more of Tara’s time, James took over ownership, while Chloe—who had worked alongside Tara previously—remained part of the team. “The three of us have been very close for a number of years,” Chloe says. “We make a very strong team, which is needed as the foundation for any business. We work hard to keep things fun, and I’ve been here every step of the journey.”
The venue has grown significantly since those early days. The original roller rink, bowling alley, and small shopping mall came first, but it quickly became clear there was a demand for even more. Within six months, the now-famous Rooftop Music Venue opened its doors and has since become the sim’s signature party destination. Later came the beachfront, adding yet another place for residents to enjoy live music, social events, and sunny beach parties.
After four years, Chloe says it’s the people who keep Roll ‘R’ Way going. “We really are blessed with an amazing team of staff and VIPs. We try hard to keep things fresh and move with the times while still being true to who we are and what we do.”
Part of Roll ‘R’ Way’s enduring appeal is its nostalgic atmosphere. “A lot of people look back on the ’80s as an amazing time—big hair, carefree life, incredible music, and just great memories. We wanted to capture that feeling while mixing it with today’s music. Our international DJs play everything from pop to EDM, and we love filling the sim with interactive activities that keep people coming back.”
As for what’s next? Chloe laughs. “That’s a hard one! We’re always coming up with new ideas, and Second Life changes so quickly. It’s important that we stay current while keeping those great Roll ‘R’ Way vibes. So… watch this space, because anything could happen!”
Finally, Chloe shared a heartfelt message with the community:
“Thank you for all the love and support over the last four years—we’re truly grateful. What started as a fun idea from a childhood memory has become something much bigger than we ever imagined. And if you’ve never visited Roll ‘R’ Way before, come check us out! Whether you’re looking for a date night, a place to hang out with friends, or even brave our Zombie House, we’re always creating new experiences and we’d love to welcome you.”
